Jason I remember now, this was exactly what I saw at Tech Ed 2006 in Boston. I had wanted to try it then, however never got a chance to do it. I had mentioned about this to Phil also. I am glad we have come back to it, coz it seems like it has a lot of potential.

I have avoided the SP1 install since I've heard about the horrid amount of time it takes. Thanks for the info guys. I'll get it done this weekend on my personal boxes. We'll check it out at work.

I believe the Web Application project comes with Visual Studio 2005 SP1 as well. We use this on all our Web Projects in ASP.NET 2.0. The Web Site project format leaves a lot to be desired. The only advantage that I see with it is Edit and Continue...

This is also part of SP1 for VS2005, so you may want to go all the way in one step.

FYI, Web Application Project addin has been rolled into Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1.

You have to uninstall Web Application Project addin prior to running the service pack. The installation of the service pack is a painfully long process, and you don't want to have to do it twice.
