		<description>Nicely said.  But the main reason is because managers reward the developer that gets it done fastest.  This is usually the no design at all person.  This is also why &#039;Test First&#039; is admired so... it forces the developer to think about design for a bit.  Those of use who already implemented good design up front are not going around touting.  &quot;Test first, Test first, its the answer!!!!&quot;</description>

		<description>I loved this post. This will probably be making my top 10 list of posts for the year. One thing you did that really impresses me is making suggestions on how to actually fix the issue of technical debt (namely, EVERY developer is responsible, and we should keep the debt low at all times by refactoring and constantly thinking about the design and quality). Many others will write about this, that, and the other problems, but never make any suggestion as to how to fix said problems. That really irks me to no end - I salute you, sir!</description>
