I’ve found it goes fairly well, until you encounter that one website you really need, but works with Flash. So I sighed, and reinstalled Flash. But I will check out Flashblock.

You can also disable the flash plugin in the chrome://plugins page. I’ve had it disabled for a while and only when I need it (some weird youtube videos) I have to turn it on. So far its been great

I’ll probably end up going that route, but I’m curious right now how much I really need Flash for normal usage. I haven’t really seen yet what I would miss, so that’s the experiment.

I’ve been running that experiment for the past month. It’s called buying an iPad.

The most bizarre one for me was a site called SecureSafe which boosts an ipad app that does encryption… and whose website generally works except for the Flash plugin they use for a registration/login screen.

I agree with Mikael. Using Flashblock on Chrome was a solution for me, so that by default Flash is disabled, and if I really need to, I can turn it on.
